Short answer
No. Alpacas are domestic animals with a population of several million; their wild ancestor, the vicuña, has also recovered and is listed as Least Concern.
Alpacas are a domestic species, so they are not assessed as endangered. There are an estimated 4-5 million alpacas worldwide.
The vicuña, however, was hunted to fewer than 10,000 animals by the 1960s. Strict protection and community-based live shearing programs have brought numbers back to several hundred thousand.
