Alpaca owners make decisions about animal welfare based on what they read. We take that seriously.
How content is created
- Health, feeding and plant pages are compiled from standard camelid veterinary textbooks, university extension publications and peer-reviewed studies (see sources).
- Data-driven pages (local climate guides, nutrition tables) are generated from public datasets using documented formulas, and regenerated when sources update.
- We avoid giving drug doses: most camelid medications are used extra-label and must be prescribed by a veterinarian.
- When evidence in camelids is limited, we say so and default to the cautious recommendation.

Independence
We do not accept payment for recommendations. Farms listed on local pages come from OpenStreetMap and are not endorsements.
